No wifi working at Tegel. It’s flippin’ early with little sleep.
All my packing went astray because my bag wouldn’t fit. Pro, only my laptop to deal with. Con, it costs to check a second bag. Luckily not by the pound. I’m trying not to think about the glass menorah.
The BA gate to London is directly behind the bag drop counter. Unlike Dublin where I had to walk to County Kerry to get to the gate.
I’m amazed that I’m departing Tegel. Last weekend the replacement airport was to have opened. Quite the scandal that it will be another year.
And on the topic of scandals, the Canadian Psycho was found in a Berlin internet cafe this week. Looking at stories about himself and the murder. As you do.
Then even worse news, a Berlin man beheaded his wife in front of the children. They’re quite docile now.
The above was written at Tegel. I’m now at Heathrow waiting for my flight.
This is a short layover. I have 3 hours at JFK, altho I have to clear customs and change terminals. I’m sure the time will be busy.
It’s been a stellar couple of months. Nine airports, seven countries, fifteen flights, countless hours walked. Whew.
